Steven Primo’s strategies are based on market behavior. Each one is written as rules, so two traders looking at the same chart reach the same decision. Different strategies fit different conditions: Strategy #4 is built for quick momentum moves in any market or timeframe, and PTS-XT is designed for trading only “extreme” trends.
A screener, or scanner, checks the whole market against a set of conditions and returns only the stocks that pass. PTS scanners look for things like strong trending stocks, stocks bottoming out, stocks above the Buy/Sell Line, stocks closing strong or weak, and six different types of breakouts.
